Naomi Butterfield is a Cambodian-American artist who has spent her time living and working in southern California and New York City. Educated at the School of Visual Arts with a major in illustration, her work is heavily informed by traditional brush & ink techniques, focusing on heavy black shapes and dynamic lines. She draws inspiration from the natural world, animals, mythology, dark fantasy and motifs from her Khmer heritage. While now a tattooer, Naomi has previously worked as a freelance illustrator in editorial, comics, graphic design and production fields.
